Quality Education
Inclusive and Equitable Quality education remains a basic human right for all humans.
South Sudan populations over two (02) decades have been major deprived of education
due to the longest civil war ever fought in the country leaving many children and adults out of school.
To date, South Sudan is still ranked one of the countries with the lowest literacy and numeracy rates,
which undoubtedly is a major source of human insecurity. Yet illiteracy and innumeracy are forms of insecurity in themselves. Being unable to read, write, or communicate is a tremendous deprivation to the realization of all several other aspects of human security. Since education is an essential prerequisite for reducing poverty and for improving the living conditions of people, FIASO is passionate in changing lives of the people in South Sudan through development of competencies, knowledge, attitudes and values as a basis for lifelong learning opportunities.
IASO will support both basic quality education for literacy and numeracy skills and technical
vocational education and training (TVET) to prepare people to work as
technicians or in various jobs such as in trading or crafting.
